The UCLA Bruins women's basketball program was established in 1974. The current coach is Cori Close. The team was a member of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) until joining the NCAA in 1984. The UCLA Bruins women's basketball team won the AIAW National Championship in 1978, and a banner commemorating the championship hangs in Pauley Pavilion, the current home of the Bruins basketball teams. The 2014–15 team won the 2015 WNIT championship.

The UCLA Women's basketball team is a powerhouse in collegiate basketball, representing the University of California, Los Angeles in the NCAA Division I. Known for their exceptional talent, teamwork, and competitive spirit, the UCLA Women's team has a rich history of success in the sport.

Comprised of some of the top female basketball players in the country, the UCLA Women's team is a force to be reckoned with on the court. With a strong coaching staff and dedicated players, they consistently compete at the highest level and have earned numerous accolades and championships over the years.

Known for their fast-paced and high-scoring style of play, the UCLA Women's team captivates fans with their skill, athleticism, and determination. Whether they are playing in front of a home crowd at Pauley Pavilion or on the road, the UCLA Women's team always brings their A-game and represents the USA with pride and passion.
